Pope, Yes, I smell another buying opportunity brewing - or is it a fart?

people do want 3D in their notebooks

as ridiculous as that sound. notebooks are growing in popularity because they are becoming desktop replacements for many, which includes a desire to play games. just the other day someone said he wanted the new Sony Vio because it has the SSE instruction set in it's Pentium III processor. I said he was nuts to want to spend a premium for that little bit of extra processing power, but there he was, salvating over the idea. while in a more practical world I agree with you that notebook users rarely 'need' a 3D processor, it still becomes a powerful marketing tool that helps one notebook offerring become distingished from another. and in the crowded market of notebook offerings, a NMGC chip could make a difference in a model gaining market share. Unfortunautly, now that they'll miss the back to school, and most of the Xmas season, ATYT will be getting the lions share of accolade from notebook marketers.
