Hi, geo!

As you may have noticed earlier on the thread, Ish, E, and I have not found it to be particularly helpful, which is why I suggested to Ish that he try chamomile tea.

Glad to know it works for you!

I like melatonin, too, George, I've been taking it since it first began to be sold in health food stores, maybe 5 years? I think the brand you take matters, I much prefer TwinLab. I also take GABA to help me sleep, the first time I took it I was so groggy when I got up to pee I almost walked into a wall. I also take benadryl from time to time. And I find that limiting caffeine intake to the morning is a must, and a two mile walk helps me sleep through the night. I'm only 46, so if the sleep disturbances keep getting worse, I've got a long time to deal with it. Not getting enough rest makes me feel old and tired and achy.

Melatonin.
I tried it; it does weird stuff to me. But then again my biochemistry is warped. The price of being Now with Built-in Conditioner, I guess.

One mg was an overdose. It made me real tired, sleepy, grumpy - but then it interfered with my ability to sleep. I spent half a night trapped on the blind-black silty beach right between wakefulness and true sleep. I found that a third of a tab doesn't do that to me. I'm playing with a third of a tab at, say, 10-15 pm as a "clock setter". Not much luck.
Gimme drugs.
