pdx: down she goes... PEDIATRIX MEDICAL GROUP INC (13-9/16, delayed open) alerted Wall Street that its 3Q profit will fall sharply because of lower patient service revenue. The company said net profit for the July-September period is expected to fall in the range of $4.7 mln to $5.2 mln, or $0.30 to $0.33 per diluted share. That compares with a profit of $0.48per share in the 1998 3Q and a consensus forecast of $0.51 per share for the latest period by analysts polled by First Call.
