Vman: Yes and No. There are perhaps clauses in the individual agreements within Globalstar, but wasn't that part of the 'allure' of G* - that the service providers did the arranging of the in-country contracts?

As such I would assume they would be much more likely to have exclusionary clauses. At the same time marketing the service as an 'extension' of current service provider capability, I dont think it should come as a surprise that governments attempt to exercise some control on the use.

I* as an anywhere anytime phone should rightly be more severely impacted by any in-country regulation.

I guess it is a no brainer to me that G* - as an extension of in-country service providers networks - would be open to imposed limits.
