True in some cases.. not here. There are plenty of high quality connections available..(better than AOL) for half the price. People are new to E world, and the soft fuzzy familiarity of AMERICA on line was comforting. But that will wear off, and common sense, and value will take it's place. Not good for AOLs bottom line.

Tang, I think you hit the nail on its head. Free doesnt necessarily translate into good service or product. And I think there is a reason why people pay more - as your example illustrates in the case of Macys versus say Walmart. Both are thriving.

I remember a while ago, YOGO (a car) was priced for $2000 in early
1990, where is YOGO? I think it went busted too. "....Yugo was in Biz till this last war..(YUGOslavia)....We...(read NATO)...bombed them out of existence...unless of course ..you count scrap metal as a Biz.....T
