L- While I agree in general with your timing scenario, the sky high PE fear factor keeps me out of "too much" trouble.

Limitex, while I agree that the summer slump is upon us, there are portions of your post to which I must take exception:

I actually agree with Ramsey Su about keeping the 'high brow' Q thread clear of anything but concentrated tech, market or financial info directly related to the Q. He's trying hard and we should all support him.

Ramsey's effort is an exercise in elite isolationism. Imo, it is ignoble and doomed to failure. If the "old timers" want to restrict their conversations, they should use email, not a public forum.

The Naz will tank approx. 1% a day for the next 6 weeks.

That's 24 market days, so you are predicting a compx of 2013. I see nothing of historical precident in terms of seasonality and nothing on the horizon in terms of news to support your contention. The sky is not falling; we are just seeing some opportunistic profit taking.

You are espousing a timing model, limitex, and that approach has proven over and over again to be flawed. Buying stocks with excellent fundamentals, such as Qualcomm, and holding them for the long term is the surest approach to building wealth.

jmho,
Frank

L,

<< Also I actually agree with Ramsey Su about keeping the 'high brow' Q thread clear of anything but concentrated tech, market or financial info directly related to the Q >>

I concur. The two thread gizzmo is working out quite well. I simply have to remind myself to check carefully to see which thread I'm on before I post a reply. <g>

Ramsey, (if you're listening), please consider this Eric's Public Apology for posting elsewhere that keeping two great QCOM threads bookmarked was a PITB. <gg>
