Now we're getting to the root.

The idea that "greatness" can be inherited is the foundation of monarchies, dynasties, dictatorships, and many of the other things that has brought out the worst in mankind.

JFK Jr. in many ways is the antithesis of what has made this country great -- a meritocracy that grew to produce the wealthiest people in the world in the midst of systems which on paper should have produced vastly more wealth: absolute monarchies, kleptocracies, dictatorships, and dynasties.

JFK Jr. was a man born with everything: wealth, fame, looks. Yet, he was mediocre in almost everything he pursued.

To call JFK Jr. a "great man" is to spit on the truly great men of history.
