Making money in DELL doesn't have to be one or the other of your views. Both may work quite well and beat the averages.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with finding a good company, buying a piece of it, then holding until the story changes or a better opportunity comes along. Clearly, with DELL this approach has been a clear winner.

Like Peter Lynch says, "water the flowers, pull the weeds". Many speculators do exactly the opposite.

For me, Larry's approach of trading based upon his refined version of TA strikes me as an awful lot of work, an awful lot of risk and an awful lot of taxes. But if it works for Larry, great.

And Larry's to be commended for sharing his analysis with us give the flak he takes while doing it.
