I'm sure you're also aware that one of the motivations for criminals to break into your home in the first place is often to obtain access to firearms. For obvious reasons, firearms are the most desirable booty in home break-ins. This is why it is important to resist the urge to "show off" or display your weapons...even to people whom you might consider to be friends. It's a shame that there are so many irresponsible gun owners out there who are unwilling or unable to control their anger.
