There is a better analogy. When market goes down there are vultures looking for the last bite out of the young colt, which just won a round of derby and was taking well needed rest, assuming that it is dead. After every rest it gets up with new vigor and kicks them all and makes yet another mighty run for a new trophy. Those vultures that survived will come back again forgetting the kick.
