The Net is good for the Bellwethers. After the shakeout only the strong ones with brand names will survive. I believe ATHM will be one of them. In a few years we would most likely forget the hundreds of 2nd and 3rd tier dot.coms and we will be left with a dozen survivors.
The survivors are obviously the following:
AMZN, AOL, YHOO, ATHM, EBAY.

I may not be 100% right but I can say I would be 80% right about the list.
