Or are we at a greater risk of disruption Because of the problems in those other nations? Look around you, a scarry level of items are imported as are their repair parts. If their disruptions last more than a few days things could become very ugly. A very large % of imported machinery have very small inventory levels with-in these shores, JIT is done even with imported items. Look at profit of UPS & FED-EX.

Take a walk thru a machine shop, the computer you are using, and the many other things we touch every hour of every day. It would be slow to come up to speed building new repair parts here.
