I take a lot of it with a grain of salt, you were supposed to. Don't trust anybody, not even me! <g>I suppose each person has to decide the extent to which they are going to believe these "Societies" are involved with government and religious organizations. Absolutely true. I don't believe the article, but wanted to make it available to you also. I tend to accept some information in a "maybe" mode. I think it may be helpful to see that hidden structures do exist, and might have an influence. The consequences of that assumptions are not clear from the beginning. Such influences might also be beneficient, after all. Otoh hand there is no democratic control and no public knowledge of such hidden proceedings, so from a democratic viewpoint hidden influences must be curbed. Actually as a side effect I wished to give helpful information on the IMO best way of communication with Gustave. When he comes up with some theory that seems absolutely unbelievable on the first read, it may be worthwile to claim him on the details rather than judge him out of his mind or prejudiced altogether. This would seem fair especially in a thread that INVITES conspiracy theories, like the assassination thread. In one case (not this one, nor that one) he brought up a lot of detailed information that made his original assumption well acceptable. On the run I learned a lot about African recent history and politics. Altogether I think he impressed me, not only by his amazing capability of finding internet sources, but also by cunning ways of interconnecting well-known facts in new ways. Subversion can be creative (not that I want to say that he is generally or all the time subversive). If otoh I could change his views in some points I felt that was fun. But maybe that feeling is restricted to me personally. The fact that he is not American might help accepting that sometimes he might overestimate his command of the language. But this is more true for me (a German) than for him anyway, I don't mean to judge him on language, but to advertize a little patience also on that reason. Thanks for responding, anyway. Regards MNI.
