<<but im getting very nervous, not because of the recent inet selloff but because of the future earnings potential>>

Mact,

I don't have the link..maybe somebody else couldprovide it....but this morning or yesterday I read a quote from the Prez of AOL...he said, and you can quote me " AOL was rocking and rolling this qtr ". He said business could not be better.......Typically a very slow period, he said essentially that AOL was kicking butt.

Personally, these things like free isp's and etc, probably bode well for AOL. Who is in the best position to give away free service if it comes to that, and still kick butt with revenue's. AOL makes money so many different ways, they are certainly in the best position to sustain and flourish should anything change drastically within the industry. It seems like everyday I read about another $100million deal aol does with somebody...guaranteed revenue.

Currently, the Inuts are getting smacked. When things calm down, People will see aol as the cash machine they are. What about when they announce more concrete broadband plans?? Short term looks rough...long term looks good for all those that hold firm. Fundamentally, AOL has never looked better. It's the sector as a whole that looks rough. What if a month or 2 ago, with exactly the same fundamentals, somebody had offered you aol for $85 a share.....you would be all over it. Yet now, because ALL inuts are getting whacked everybody thinks the AOL bubble has burst. If it was AOL going down while all the inuts wen't up, I would be concerned. But AOL is just emulating what the sector as a whole is doing. I find it ironic the same people that said they would never sell aol are now selling at such low levels....those people, im my eyes are going to be upset campers when aol moves back up. There is not guarantee of course that aol will move back up.....but unless you feel the internet is finished, you must believe in the future of aol. The net is just getting started. There will be many bumps in the road. This isn't the first and won't be the last, but I firmly believe AOL is fine for the long haul.

AOL in its current form will never be free. I don't hear much chatter on the street about the AOl anywhere strategy, but that is the soul of this company. No one else is doing this and it will be required in the not to distant future....AOL will increase market share, not loose it.

The free isp's are not costing AOL much IMO. Who goes from premium to free. You go from discount to free. The discount ISP's are the ones with the most to fear.
