Allright thread.....Mark's gone, lets get busy! Tomorrows watch list: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thursday, 05 August 1999 Market Gleamings: The high on GILD 3 days ago is somewhat higher than the large range day of 4 days ago, but the pattern is in the spirit of the XLB strategy. It looks like the market has a chance to rally Thursday if we get a solid down open but be cautions as there may not be an abundance of players willing to hold into Friday morning's key jobs report. The downside damage is accelerating and stocks are vulnerable to an unfriendly employment report number which could be the catalyst to create a capitualitve washout below the “obvious” support (Dow 10,500, S&P Cash 1300). It appears only a rally by the September S&P's tomorrow above 1320-1322 could inspire a move as high as 1340 ish. GAP RULE: Any buy recommendation that opens 3/4 point above the stated entry price and any sell recommendation that opens 3/4 point below the stated entry price should be ignored for the day.
