If the deal is called off you will get much more than a spike.

Do you really think the stock would gain momentum in that circumstance without a significant change in management?

Nacchio sees this as a company that needs to become a full-service telecom provider. The market seems to disagree. The "high growth multiple" doesn't mean much if the company is run by a team that has said it can't be achieved.
