I'm going to have to give you a very summarized report, because to go into any detail on this would take way too much time here.

P&F (point-and-figure) charting is a method of TA. Like most forms of TA, P&F looks for certain patterns to give an indication of possible future movement of a stock or index. According to Tom Dorsey (I consider the P&F "guru"), the recent movement of the broader market indexes has been reminiscent of what was seen in the summer of 1996. The NASDAQ is currently down 10% from its high, and in '96 it dropped a total of 19% before it was through. Yeah, that means if the charts hold true, we've got -9% more to look forward too. :*(

That's what I was alluding to in my message. Hope that helps.

-Joe
