From an Eye MD.

I would like to comment on some issues that have recently been discussed on this board
regarding Keravision. I am an EyeMD that has extensive experience with refractive surgery.
This includes RK, PRK, and LASIK. I have NOT placed intacs. There is a lot of misinformation
going around about refractive surgery and pricing.

1. Laser surgery is as invasive as any other procedure and LASIK is in my opinion the MOST
invasive of the current refractive surgery modalities (PRK, LASIK, Intacs, and intraocular
lenses).

2. LASIK requires the same sterility and basic setup as INTACs. LASIK and the intacs will be
done mostly in a doctors office if he has a busy refractive practice.

3. There is a lot of misinformation in terms of cost. The use of the two current lasers (VisX and
Summit) have a Pillar Point fee of $250 per eye. This is just an additional charge and has
nothing to do with other expenses (material, maintenance and cost of laser, surgery suite
charges, etc). There is NO question that if you include the cost of the laser and maintenance
that Intacs is more profitable than LASIK for the far majority of Eye MD's

4. The sucess and/or failure of this company and its stock will be on the success of the
procedure. There is tremendous patient interest for a refractive procedure that is safe,
effective and reversible. LASIK cannot offer you the later. Eye MD's who want to provide their
patients services desired will be forced to adopt this technology or lose their patients. This
will include the EyeMDs that have a large investment in their own laser.

5. Lastly, it is very important that the Intacs gets FDA approval for an increased range of
corrections. Currently, they are approved for up to a - 3.00. I believe they are submitting data
to get approval up to -5.00. This would greatly increase the number of patients that could
potentially benefit from this technology.

I would like to stress to everyone I am long this stock.

(Voluntary Disclosure: Position- Long; ST Rating- Strong Buy; LT Rating- Strong Buy)

gc,sounds like you are stretched a bit this Summer. You'll be in better shape come Sept./Oct.As for the procedure, make your exam appointment now and get them done this Fall when your portfolio should come around. You will regard your new vision as one of the best investments of your life.I know that I do; my investments in this industry(BEAM,VISX & LCAV)are also going to be vivid but with them we are just talking money. You will see what I mean soon.
