I can't trust level II information anymore. Example: Today, BBBY trading between 32 and 32 3/8. MMID BRUT shows the only 1000 32 5/16 share ask at 13:27 EST. For the following 15 minutes BRUT was the only 32 5/16 ask. 100, 2900, 200, 15000, 5000, 900, 10,000, 200 and 100 shares traded at 32 5/16 (15,000 and 10,000 traded @ 32 3/8). The BRUT order is still there for all I know. BBBY never saw that price again.

Watch the action on time and sales and compares with level II. Now I can understand if 1,000,000 shares reflected by level II get eaten up with no sign of the other side. I don't understand 100 shares sitting there while thousands of shares are traded at the same price.

I've also seen 1,000,000 shares on the support side with little resistance on the ask. Just when the price gets to the mil price level the big order vanishes.

Will someone tell me what is going on? bd
