Didn't Morgan Stanley put out a report calling for a 110
target a few weeks ago?
I guess the margin issue was at the heart of the MS report.
That is all I know after talking to an analyst this AM.
My instinct is to say that this is not a guaranteed result.
We'll have to watch consumer handset sales trends closely over
the next few weeks. I don't think people expect Nokia to lose
market share, rather they will cave on prices to hold onto
their current position.
I think we need that brilliant analyst Tero Kuittinen to help
us sort this one out. His analyses quickly cut to the chase
analysing handset sales trends from a variety of specific metrics
which give us the ability to assess the MOT threat to NOK's
earnings.
I bet the infrastructure announcement should help offset
current concerns. However, we are in a correction and there
are plenty of momentum players getting hurt and this might even
shake them out. I bet we are in buying range now, but there is still
5 points of down side risk.
Maybe this explains why Nokia trades at such a significant discount to Cisco.
