I know, its frustrating to see your net worth go down fast. But think back about to 1987, when the market really had a crash. I am reminded of the late Malcolm Forbes. He made an appearence on Johnny Carson about a month after the 87 crash. Johnny asked him how much money had he lost. His answer, " None, I haven't sold. You only have a loss if you sell out. If anything I'm buying."

Qwest is a multi billion dollar company without USW, and with it its huge. Its not going bankrupt, and its not going to single digits unless the entire market goes to single digits. Long term, this is a great opportunity. Sure, its painfull for those like me that have a significant position in the low 40's. But I'm buying in slowly to average down, especially after I think its leveled off. I don't know where that will be, but I doubt its much below where its at now.JMO
