Would you consider AOL to be in an "unstable state" from a technical point of view. Its broken support @ 90 but is not going towards the support at 75?

I don't see any solid support level until it reaches around 50 but an assumption can be made that it will find a new support level higher than that - and I have thought it would be around the 70-80 level. 75 is as good a number as any and seems to make sense. There was a small bit of trading history where Amazon traded at that level last year and having come down so much there may be cause for attracting new investors. But who knows, with 66 new Internet IPOs just this month there are a lot more boats in the water to compete for Internet sector investment dollars.

What will happen once AMZN splits? It should be trading up on the news of the split - trading down so sharply now and with all the other dilution in the sector may cause this thing to tank even more. The dynamics of the stock certainly are changing.
