akamai.com

If you do contact them, please report back the results.

[Do they sound like they have their act together? Do they provide the range of services you need? Are they cost competitive? Etc.]

This is a good question, but it depends completely on what type of content you are looking to stream ... Real, QuickTime, MP3, a combination ... and where ...

Some of the folks out there are:

InterVU intervu.com

Akamai akamai.com

Sandpiper sandpiper.com

Live365 (MP3) live365.com

and of course Real ... RBN ...

There are some other ... I'll have to search for bookmarks ...

Check out destiny-software.com. We offer free internet radio broadcast software for unlimited streams. You can either provide the bandwidth yourself or use our repeater service.

The receiver is built into an MP3 player and access to the directory of stations is point and click.

Is this for an event or are you looking for on going streaming?
