I don't know what you mean by a "status" bar.

It's a section at the bottom of the window in either IE or Navigator, but it can be turned off in IE. If the web page goes all the way to the thin border on the bottom of your IE window, then you have it turned off. (The on/off switch is in the "View" menu. Select "Status bar" to turn it on.)

However, if you are using IE, turning it on may not help since there's ususally not enough room in the status bar to show the part of the URL that includes the user number. (You'll see it only if you use a very wide browser window.)

As an alternative try this (in IE only): Place mouse pointer over user's name. Press right mouse button. Select "Properties" from the pop-up menu.
A box will open that includes this line (for you):
Type: GSP?ID=4127830 File

The number is your user ID.
