You need 3Mbps to see smooth live video.

I was under the impression that 1Mb would give you a pretty respectable quality video stream. Is this wrong? Stuff coming from a rented video tape isnt exactly stellar quality either.

Somewhere buried in every truely significant use for broadband is the need for a video stream. If cable has carefully crafted a system that is just a little too slow to support video streams of quality enough for people to like then they have made a pretty major blunder.

Hey @Home users! What does video look like to you over @home? Looks like I'm stuck with 56k for a long time to come..
