The problem with ATHM is that they sold their sole early, gave away the keys to the kingdom

The soul of ATHM is being the broadband ISP to the MSO's. They did not "give it away", @home simply would not exist without it. They had no kingdom till they were born as a child of the king MSO's.

I disagree that they should put other sites in a frame. It violates the fundamental spirit of openness that @home was founded on. You can point your browser anywhere you want to. If @home wants to make $ from content they simply need to compete by providing better content.

Yahoo has links pointing to amazon. Excite has links pointing to AOL. Its all cross-marketing agreements. Nothing wrong with that. Pretty sad that they are afraid to put a link pointing to Yahoo.

Gregory, Maybe you are being influenced by Ahhaha's negative thinking.
What's wrong with ATHM now? Open Access Attacks? Yahoo's buyout?
Stock's ugly performance? No, these things are not material. In fact, ATHM's fundamental remain intact if not better since January of this year. ATHM's sub increase is well on track. Their earning is improving. By the end of this year they will be in black with over 1 million subs.

So where are so much negativities coming from? Except that ATHM's stock is not in the right place in the chart, everything else is perfect. Isn't the negativity coming from psychology ONLY?? BTW, I never regarded "Open Access" as a meaningful threat anyway, and never will.

This is what they should do, give anyone that wants to pay a fee, space
on the front page, have it open in a frame, with ATHM faceplate
surrounding the window.
I agree, it is always easier to sell to people looking to sell, than it is to sell.
