RPK Security Signs Strategic Software Development and Distribution Agreement with RealNetworks for RPK SecureMedia™ PROVIDING STRONG ENCRYPTION SOLUTION FOR RealSystem G2-BASED STREAMING MULTIMEDIA CONTENT San Francisco, CA. August 2, 1999 RPK Security, Inc., the technology leader in strong and fast encryption for streaming media and RealNetworks, Inc (NASDAQ: RNWK), the recognized leader in media delivery for the Internet , announced today the signing of a strategic software development and distribution agreement for RPK's SecureMedia™ encryption solution for streaming media.
Under the terms of the agreement, RPK will design, produce and deliver RPK SecureMedia for RealNetworks G2, providing confidentiality, content protection, authentication and audience management for RealSystem G2-based multimedia content. RealNetworks plans to market and distribute RPK SecureMedia through its sales force, web site and other channels to its vast customer base of more than 70 million users.
