Larry, no need for the formalities and pls don't call me sir :)

I agree, those days of huge swings are long gone and thankfully the froth has been taken out. I enjoyed trading these in the past and will continue to do so regardless of the direction. However, its a bit of a relief to see this selloff take place, b/c things were getting truly nutty earlier part of this year. I also agree that AOL is not an ordinary company. However, EBAY and AMZN are not models I have faith in for long term for generating profits. REvenues are not the only criteria by which I'd judge any of these companies. YHOO/AOL on the other hand may (and i stress "may") develop into true mutlimedia companies that allow video/audio (communications/entertainment), e-commerce (purchases/consolidated shopping), among other services to develop into truly profitable machines. I hope I explained this well in the prior post so I won't delve into it further. Message 10827818

I don't know the future any better than the next guy, but from what I read and from what people far more knowledgable about this industry than I tell me, I am more willing to allow some levity in these companies to develop and tap into their true potential(s). Perhaps there's much more downside or perhaps its limited, I can't answer that. I'm only sharing my understanding of these companies and hope to receive another knowledgable opinion, such as yours, in return. I hope we both can profit in the long run. Best of luck.

Regards,
SH
