Haim,

I agree that the majority of high-tech companies are a little shady in their earnings reports but that isn't some new revelation now is it? As always everyone must do their own due diligence when buying a stock. Particularly one that trades a high multiples like Lucent but to issue a sell now based upon what I have read from their earnings reports isn't exactly wise in my opinion.

We are entering one of the largest periods of carrier upgrades that this world has ever seen and Lucent is one of the premier telecom equipment suppliers in the world. With their last two acquisitions of Nexabit (sp?) and Ascend they have placed themselves at the head of the class, IMHO.

Therefore, I will let the market dictate rather they feel that Lucent or anybody else has 'doctored' their numbers. In the mean time I will continue to purchase shares in companies like Lucent who I feel will amply reward me in the next 5 to 10 years with excellent earnings growth.

Cheers,

Steve

The small print reveals it all - smoke and mirrors, actual real earnings are about half of reported.

Yeah! Haim is back! Hey, buddy, where were you the last couple months, when LU was climbing? I thought so.

The minute LU starts to fill a gap in preparation for another tear to $100, you crawl out from under whatever rock you've been living under and start spouting off a bunch of nonsense that's based on the last six or seven posts you've read on here. It's SAD! Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while, Haim. Think you're gonna be right about LU this time? Do ya? Don't hold your breath.

I guess I'll say my goodbyes now, since you'll disappear again as soon as sweet LU starts her inevitable climb.

Good luck, Haim. It's worth noting that anyone who invested based on your blathering the last time you were here lost his shirt.

BWDHK?

Mark

haim, then who are you a fan of since most tech companies smooth earnings, like it or not?
