yes, ur right, they do offer broadband access to a very small % of their 17M customers via dsl....i would be surprised if aol had 100K customers receiving broadband right now...as for potential to penetrate, im not sure i agree...athome has access to approx. 12M TCI homes...aol has 17M accounts...and what are the chances that aol has even a 1/4 of their customers in an area being served by the 4 babybells?...not likely...there are too many telecom companies serving the US now...ultimately, i hope aol does well, since i own some shares...just wished they would have bought tci instead of AT &T...not sure if hughes is the answer.
