Sorry for being so contentious, Rarebird; sometimes us pre-baby boomers get grumpy for no good reason. There is nothing wrong with a precious metals strategy, and there is nothing wrong with preparing for the worst. Your posts just struck me as inappropriate for an Internut stock board, where the investors are about as far from value oriented as possible.
