SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 4, 1999--Intelliquis International Inc. (OTC BB: INTQ), a premier provider of personal computer and Internet software, today announced its IntelliFIX 2000 Y2K-test software is currently featured in a joint promotion with Staples (Nasdaq: SPLS) and Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO).

During the promotion, Intelliquis' test software will be prominently featured in a headline-style link where visitors using the Yahoo! Internet Web portal can download free software to test their computers for potential year 2000 problems. Yahoo! visitors using the link will be connected to a Staples product page where they can find more information about IntelliFIX 2000 software and as well as free software downloads. As part of the promotion, visitors can purchase full versions of IntelliFIX 2000 Standard and PRO, which tests and repairs detected Y2K bugs, through the Staples Web site, Staples Direct and more than 750 superstores throughout the United States.

According to Mark Tippets, Intelliquis' vice president of sales, being featured in the Staples-Yahoo! promotion allows the company to increase its visibility among potential customers.

"This promotion with Staples and Yahoo! presents Intelliquis with a perfect opportunity to showcase its year 2000 solution on the most popular and widely used search engine on the Internet," Tippets said. "According to Staples' projections, this promotion is expected to generate around 50 million impressions or 'hits' for Intelliquis' test software. This means Intelliquis can reach more potential customers than ever before, while creating a greater awareness of the company's Y2K solution in the computer marketplace."

Intelliquis' IntelliFIX 2000 software automatically diagnoses, inventories and repairs year 2000 date problems in a PC's hardware, software and data. The software individually addresses and resolves each key level of impact in a PC: hardware (BIOS and CMOS real-time clock), operating system, software and data-file conflicts.

IntelliFIX 2000 includes a self-booting software utility for diagnosing and repairing all levels of impact in PC hardware, including BIOS and CMOS real-time clock. IntelliFIX 2000 also includes software for testing and repairing a PC's operating system and application conflicts. IntelliFIX 2000 PRO includes a data scan feature that drills down to each cell in a user's spreadsheet and database software files to locate and repair year 2000-date problems associated with data, including Lotus 1-2-3, Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and other program files. The IntelliFIX 2000 standard version has a suggested retail price of $29.99, while the PRO version retails for $49.99.

Intelliquis' Y2K products recently received a Level 5 rating in Solace Consultancy's Millennium Test report -- the highest possible rating in the report and the only product tested that received the Level 5 designation. Intelliquis' Y2K software was recently featured in a promotion with America Online. Intelliquis' products can be found in a variety of retail outlets, including Staples (Nasdaq: SPLS), CompUSA (NYSE: CPU), Beyond.com (Nasdaq: BYND), Digital River (Nasdaq: DRIV), Micro Center, Fry's Electronics, Egghead.com (Nasdaq: EGGS), Hastings Books and OfficeMax (NYSE: OMX).
