It's a great thought. I'm just not taking that route now.

Gold/short inets

Really too bad that I covered my RNWK and ITVU shorts too early. Chalk it up to inexperience....I was amazed how easily the DOT broke through 500....given major bearish technical indicators, I'm contemplating reshorting these stocks and AMZN, now that the AMZN has broken 90. The market is "oversold" and the lack of a technical bounce today makes me think the risk/benefit ratio is good for shorting. Bulls are just beginning to cry uncle.

I am much less comfortable with gold....just don't know enough about it. Looking over major gold stocks, I am considering NEM and ABX, with these stocks picked because their charts look the best. My cursory examination shows a major short position in gold, which must be covered at some point. Add to that recent spikes in volume, penetration of 200 day MA, and rising interest rates, and things look interesting. Most importantly, I believe that momentum plays will rule the market over the next few years, and the momentum seems to be building in gold.

I would be interested in comments re:other precious metals as well- truly a newbie in this area of investing.
