William - would you agree that with Amazon's current mounting losses that if Amazon were to falter in their sales growth just one quarter (by reporting a much slower growth than previous quarters - or even negative growth) that the impact might be devastating to the stock price? Continued sales growth is the only thing Amazon has going for it at the moment (at least in my view). And to keep the pace of their sales growth, Amazon will have to not only successfully execute in going into new retail categories, but they will also have to successfully protect their market share in existing categories from a constantly rising number of competitors. By going into new categories, Amazon risks diluting their brand, and even stretching themselves too thin. This, in my opinion, all translates into a tremendous amount of risk - risk of Amazon faltering on their revenue growth in just one quarter over the next 17 months.

Thanks,
-Eric
