On a lighter side, Sonny, we both, I think, profited greatly from Big MO's rise last summer/fall during that panic filled correction. I couldn't believe how strongly Phillip Morris rallied while almost everything else was tanking. I'm buy that stock aggressively again if it appeared a Republican would get elected in 2000.

Here's another Bullish Rarebird Post Back Then. This one even called that nasty correction in October and the Great Rally to all time highs beginning in November:

Mohan, I do not think your bullish! Don't make me laugh! What I do think is that you don't realize that the BULLS want a real market correction this time. They are putting up very little resistance or a fight here. I was shocked that the BEARS couldn't bring about a lower low today, that is, below 7694. Now where we disagree is the aftermath of a Dow 7200-7400. I feel that come November the BULLS will re-enter the market and push prices significantly higher to all-time highs. I feel it will be the last upleg with the small caps leading the way. After all the Bears are crushed and destroyed by a Dow 10,000 and a Nasdaq 2000, the Bear will begin. I see a 50% retracement. I am not impressed by the current downtrend at all. It's been basically a large cap affair with the accent being profit taking in lieu of the capitol gains tax cut.
