Company Press Release
Internet Portal B2Bexplorer.com Secures National News Attention With Launch.
CUMBERLAND, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 3, 1999--Last weeks release of the Business to Business portal, www.b2bexplorer.com showed big promise by getting the attention of the countries top news reporters.

The site which is positioned as an ``Internet based Business Search Engine & Directory', has an aggressive mission; become the Internets largest and most popular business Search Engine within its first year. The site is taking direct aim at today's common general search engines like Yahoo!, Lycos and others by segmenting the Internet's user groups; business and consumer.

The site was featured last week by national online news sources such as CNNfn, Boston Globe, NewsPage, Ecommerce Times, Internet Week and a variety of others as well as on ABC news and Maine Public Broadcasting radio shows. CNBC will also be featuring the site during its Fall line-up on the Technology Today show.

``Our first week showed amazing promise,' quoted Jeff Taplin, President and founder. ``The initial response validates our research that there is a need for a focused Internet Search Engine that separates and services the business marketplace.'

``The Internet has two types of users, Business and Consumer and there is a substantial difference between the two. The general search engines have combined them and tried to service them as a whole. Using one of these Search Engines, it doesn't take long to get lost among a myriad of pages and thousands of search results.'

The site takes the concept of Yellow Page directories, combines it with Search Engine efficiency and applies utilities designed for the business user, a one-of-a-kind concept that has real-world applications. Businesses can sell, market, research and prospect in a pure business community.

The site is simple and powerful, which makes it very attractive. Users access a powerful custom Internet based search engine to search through a massive directory of businesses. A series of filters allow very targeted search results with no consumer pages. From the search results, users can pull up a complete company description as well as a company contact hierarchy. Using a secure SPAM-proof mail application, users can then send an email directly to a listed contact...all at no charge.

It is a free service, both for companies to submit information and for access to the directory.
