he really lost points with us when he decided to hire a public relations firm to help him sugar coat the truth instead of issuing strong, plain talk preparation statements to the american people.

Hmmm.... You're criticizing him for hiring a PR firm, yet you have decided to renege on your agreement to tell us all what you think he should say.

You can't claim that it should be easy to know what and when to say something, unless you are willing to give us your expectations of what he should say.

I certainly can't claim that I know what he should or shouldn't be saying. But I can suggest that he dance gently around the topic so he doesn't create an even greater problem.

After all... all he does is annouce that they are setting up an Information collection center and the press starts calling it a Y2K bunker. Can you BLAME the guy for wanting PR assistance? (yeah, you probably can..:0)

usia.gov

Unfortunately it is not about what someone actually says... But only about what people understand someone to say. And people's understanding is limited by their biases and fears. People who can't do anything but read the very worst into whatever someone says.

Yeah.. you can fault him for hiring PR help, but I'm not willing to criticize him.

So how about it??? Are you going to take a walk in Koskinen/Clinton's shoes and tell us what you would tell us all about Y2K??

I'm not harassing you... I "REALLY" would like to know. Because I don't even know what I want him to say.

Regards,

Ron
