I take the Jimmy Rodgers perspective on international currency. Governments can stall momentum for a bit, make some noise, jawbone etc, but the markets will rule. If the foreign holders of our equities, stocks and bonds, think that the dollar is heading south they will pull their money, fed or no fed. Foreign funds have been the salvation of US equity markets for the whole stock market boom.
CNBC does not talk about this issue very much. They don't like to have negative discussion. I am watching the dollar closely and interest rates. If they swing hard one of these days before the market opens that will be as clear a signal as one can get.
