<But they are still going to have to throw away either the Winchip or MII/Jedi/R2D2 ;). There is no point of them continuing to sell and market both when both basically go in the same systems. If they can increase their production and have two forces pushing one or the other, they may get and retain more design wins.>

I am sure we will see some streamlining of operations and some new products (and roadmap foils) from VIA. Wen-Chi has his job cut out to build excitement inside and credibility outside.

I am wondering if they will buy a graphics company to enable a strong PCOAC offering or if they will just continue with the current S3 partnership. Should be very interesting to watch.
