I use two measures when I look at Thomson trading.
First I look at the number of bars, and then volume,
or tallness, if you will, of those bars. If both
outnumber sells, then so far so good. Then I look
at how much of total trading is institutional.
If the pie chart portion is 50% or less, than
no big deal. If 75% or more than it shows
institutional interest to me...at least in
relation to overall trading in the stock. I may
be all wet here, but that's how I use the indicators.
Obviously you don't want to rely only on what
Thomson shows you. It's just one more tool to
be used with all the other stuff out there.
