<<You must own MSFT>>

At 500 billion market cap, I don't think so. And maybe some of you guys should've looked at AOL's valuations before buying at higher levels than todays price.

I'm not a shareholder of either, however, I'll tell you what I didn't like. I didn't like how Barksdale, Case and Mr. Network Computer Ellison along with DOJ teamed up and trashed MSFT and Gates last spring. Anyone with a half of brain cell would've realized what was going on. Oh BTW, whatever happened to the Linux craze? Red Hat software? Did you read the PR the other day about how SUNW doesn't think Linux is practical for everyday use?

MSFT is not evil, it's just that the people running AOL fell asleep. They bought NSCP thinking they were going to put MSFT out of commission in the browser market. However, little did they think that browser are a thing of the past and internet positioning is what its all about.

If AOL's managment was so smart, they would've used the money that they grossly overpaid to buy NSCP to position themselves in the cable arena. Are you going to blame that on Gates also? IMO, Case totally missed the boat while gloating about AOL's past performance.

I suppose T is evil now too, no?

Diamond,

You are dreaming!

MSFT will walk from the courts with a slap on the wrist. By the time all the appeals are finished, the issue will be mute, Netscape will only be a memory.

Weak competitors have had an audience with the Clinton govt, they won't have a chance once Bush is elected.

Best advice is to buy some MSFT. Then you can moan about their business practices all the way to the bank.
