Agreed.... the subtle socialism of the last 25 years of dumbing people down that the gov't will take care of them is alarming.
So many people have not even thought through things or simply say "everyone else will be in same boat"

Y2K Preview? - 1998 Ice Storm Montreal, Quebec

Hi Guys,

As a survivor of the great ice storm of '98, although not in Montreal, I can relate to much of what is described here.

IMHO, definitely on the recommended reading list for Y2K 101.

As a result of that grim experience, I am much better equipped now for Y2K or any other 'disaster', with a high efficiency woodstove, generator, extra food, etc.
