Brian, a few points and comments:

1. Possible Bug in unread messages count on subject marks page: I have noticed that after I am done reading all of the unread messages on a thread and have clicked on "View Subject Marks" to return to the Subject Marks page, the thread that I have just finished reading lists a few more unread messages -- ones that I know have just finished reading!

This happens quite often. I am guessing that these messages where created after I clicked on the unread messages number. However, I did read them while in "10 at a time" mode and they should NOT be relisted as unread on the subject marks page. Someone needs to fix the code that keeps track of unread messages.

2. Trashing Already Read Mail: I agree with Joan and quite a few others that mail should NOT be trashed after 48 hours once it has been read but NOT filed. It takes an interminable amount of time to file messages on the turbo SI -- time one doesn't always have when on the road and borrowing computers. Can automatic trashing be an option with a user-configurable time limit (ie: 48 hrs, 1 wk, 1 mo)?

3a. Instant Ten at a Time Viewing: My feelings are that this should be an OPTION even though I sometimes find it annoying that I have to see the first message alone before I can access the next 50 "ten at a time."

3b. I noticed that the only way to jump to a PARTICULAR post while in "ten at a time" mode is to click on a(any) post number to get to the "one message at a time" format then enter the desired post number in the number box.

[edit] In fact I had to do the above steps just to edit this message after I went browsing in the thread to read the messages I missed while writing this one!

3c. How about another text link next to "View 10 at a time" indicating "View 1 at a time" so that members such as RTev can switch back and forth to accommodate reading a few long messages versus a stream of short dialogue messages.

Your responses are always appreciated

Lily
