BBW,

Responding to a msg seems simple enough but how do you view the thread (single topic)of a question from begining to end?

When you are on a thread, scroll down to the search section at the bottom. Enter your search and click "this subject only".

Have fun,
Phil

Here's the SI FAQ page. I doubt it has the answer to your question, though:

techstocks.com

SI is set up different from most other message boards and newsgroups where conversations are contained in a "tree" structure. I happen to like the SI layout better, but that's what I'm used to.

To a certain extent you can use the "view replies" button and the message number of the post being replied to to follow a chain of conversation. Going backwards this works pretty well. It tends to branch out impossibly going forward. Sometimes you're better off just scanning through the thread and reading the ones you're interested in.

SI also has some very useful search tools that you'll find at the bottom of the page.
