MSFT makes money on software if more people use the Net, plus their other ventures and services. What does XSNI get from each user - eyeballs for advertising (low revenue), maybe E-commerce revenue if they work out some deals (not seen yet), maybe this franchise deal....

It's just not clear how they will monetize their users and turn a profit over and above installation, advertising and operating costs.

Jeff: MicroSoft looking at Free Internet is "HOT NEWS TODAY" it's now being blasted over the TV-News Media across the United States and Canada. Too bad CNN and others don't mention the name XSNI who first started free Internet in the World. (what can we do about that)?? There's a fortune in advertising dollars, it keeps TV programs and Magazines rolling. I was reading the other day there was Cdn.$8 billion I think spent here in Canada last year, and we only have a population of 30 million compared to 300 million in the USA and 370 million in Europe. In Japan there's 130 million and 1.2 billion people in China. So look at the potential in those heavily populated areas especially Europe, USA and Japan. I don't know the situation on X-stream's finances either but I did read the UK Newspapers when they talked about x-stream a few months ago spent Cdn.$9 million on their first birthday. What would that indicate to you? It certainly doesn't look like they are strapped for cash. They must be raking in a few advertising dollars as they work on 1/2 million subscribers by the sounds of it.!!!
