Let's face it: AOL is internet for dummies. As people learn more about the internet, AOL loses its value. Remember the computer manufacturer KayPro?

John, re: 50% market share; IBM, Oracle et all...

If MSFT is committed to that objective, then they better make it an AOL like experience. And I don't mean it has to be AOL, but I do mean they have to offer users more than the average ISP and something like the community that AOL has built and the ease of use.

Otherwise, they will just be another ISP offering free Internet service, and people can have free internet right now if they want.

IBM, Oracle, et all... Oracle's network computer was a failure. Sun's going to the justice department... we have yet to see that played out. But how has AOL aimed poorly or thrown stones? The first time I saw them take action is for the broadband access issue, and it seemed appropriate.

Just my opinion, and I look forward to your response.

Jon :)
