Steve - With swap spreads blowing out and credit spreads under
continued pressure I don't blame you for being concerned. Bond
Market trading up on flight to quality only...Net stocks getting
hit on the back of Microsoft comments regarding discounted
internet access...Some technicians looking for a 50% retracement
of intel's recent run...70 puts perhaps...pullback to 66 before
we ramp higher again?

Burt: You are right about the fear of inflation causing inflation albeit it will be shortlived. People are rushing in to get the last house available with a less than 8% mortgage As for the NYC market forget it. That is its own market altogether.

As for food prices a bottle of hot sauce in NH 1.29 in NY suburbs 1.89. The desire to live near the big money sinks causes everything to be inflated.

LI is a great place but there is no more land left to speak of so everything is going to be high in the residential market. You really can't look at NYC is a example of anything. JFD
