George: I can go along with manipulation. As I said before, it doesn't bug me and it doesn't effect me either way. I believe the major movements will still be observable by TA, however they are caused. And being someone who knows nothing I've learned to take my chances and disbelieve anything anyone says. Particularly those who have something to sell --- including information.

In fact, as far as being an "ordinary" investor is concerned does it make any difference how the major movements come about? Markets are markets. There are always insiders and outsiders. Big players and small players. Honest and dishonest. To me, investment is always based on uncertainty, partial information and taking a calculated risk. In fact, the more uncertainty the better the market, as far as I'm concerned. Right now gold is really uncertain. That's why it possibly offers the best possibility for an excellent return.
