calypso, I'm confident the previously reported EPS was an exception and that P21 will reward us with a good year-end earnings report in a few weeks.

Regards - Dale

Prophet 21 appears to be doing the right things. The company has been gearing up for a large scale promotion of their Wholesale software. Sales and marketing have been reorganized. Their continuation of co-sponsored seminars with Progress Software, IBM and Microsoft should help bring visibility to the company and their new products. Recent wins at Best Buy and Mercury Marine indicate their plan to target larger companies can succeed. I suspect that if P21 continues getting in front of the right customers, their 30 years of distribution focus and experience will shine through.

And what about their numbers? Solid growth in revenues and earnings - No debt - Book value around $7. (Geez, this is the type of stock I want to be holding if we see the market head south). The primary reason for PXXI recently trending down to current levels seems to be due to last quarter's EPS miss. The March quarter had decent revenues that were in-line with seasonal trends, but expenses took their toll on the bottom line. The investments were needed to handle expansion and are not a concern IMO. The percentages will quickly fall back in line with increased sales... which leads me to next week's earnings report.

We should be able to read P21's Q4 and Year-end results before the market opens next Wednesday (Aug-18). You might want to take a look back at the June quarter in previous years. Prophet 21 typically has their very best quarter at the end of their fiscal year. I don't expect to see anything near a repeat of the exception we experienced in the March period. I'm very hopeful.

Regards - Dale

(BTW - Hey Tokyo Joe. You picked a winner with PXXI. I hoped you kept a few shares long in your personal account. <g>)
