larry, I'd be careful on what you go short on. Holding shorts overnight is dangerous, unless you are very sure of your call. Reason? Because many stocks bounce up in the morning anyway, so why not short then from a higher level (that's always been my tactic w/ MSFT, f.ex.), and avoid the risk of a gap up that doesn't look back!

The danger as I see it, is what if the econ data tomorrow is good? It could spark a big relief rally. I would'nt want to get caught short in the wrong stock here.

BTW, like I keep telling folks, certain stocks are very dangerous to short - AMZN is up already by 8 points. I prefer shorting AOL in quantity (still down, though here news contributed).
